In this session, we will look at what person-centered communication looks like, with people with dementia and among people working in a nursing home. What can we learn and unlearn?<\/p>\n

The way we communicate with each other can make or break a person\u2019s day. It can mean the difference between understanding what a person needs and not meeting their needs. It can cause a person to feel seen or heard, or not. We have the power to do that!<\/p>\n

This is true for how we communicate with people with dementia and with each other, as team members.<\/p>\n

In this session we will dive into how we can communicate in ways that truly seek to understand, so that people with dementia can live well, and we can work well.
\nThis 120-minute interactive webinar invites everyone working in a Virginia nursing home\u2014CNAs, nurses, social workers, activity staff, administrators, dietary staff, housekeeping… YOU\u2014to take a deep dive into person-centered, dementia care best practices.<\/p>\n

Expect bold ideas, practical tools, real-life stories\u2014and a space to think differently and plan for something new. No matter where you are on your person-centered care journey, there\u2019s more to discover.<\/p>\n

And we\u2019re not done yet.<\/p>\n

A month later, we’ll continue learning and growing together as we host \u201cHuddle Up\u201d\u2014a follow-up jam session to reconnect, ask questions, share what worked (and what didn\u2019t) and keep the momentum going.<\/p>\n
